A Day With Sue | Episode 1 (Part 2)

Hello! I am back with Part 2. Hope you guys still remember about Part 1. If you just stumbled here, click on Part 1's link to read about Part 1 hehehe.

Episode 1: Genting bound. (Part 2)

From my previous post, we were so hyped up and excited to watch Iluminate as we remember checking the poster and it was written there 4pm & 8.30pm. So we got back to the hotel room for a nap while waiting for 8.30pm to come. The show is in Genting International Show Room, which is right beside the entrance to Resort Hotel's casino.

Before we know it, it was already 8.15pm and we had to wash up a little before rushing out that tiny hotel room of ours and storm through the crowd of adults heading to casino and children running around and screaming at Vision City Arcade. As I was slower in nature (shorter and stumpier legs) than the boyfriend, he ran ahead of me to find out exactly where the place is while I try to get there as fast as my short legs can bring. I can't tell you how tired am I upon arriving at the counter where the sell ticket.

But guess what? The show on that day is only at 4pm and the next show is on Thursday! Where can like that? I run so fast and rushed like a mad woman and you tell me that there is no iLuminate at 8.30pm? I was so disappointed and I lingered there like a little child for a while in disbelief.

How can I make it on a weekday? What if the next time I can make it to Genting, they have ended their tour already? I wanna watchhhhhh.

Luckily for us, we still had a back up plan (It's not exactly a back up plan lah but it's a plan before we decide on iLuminate) which is to go for Ripley's Believe It Or Not and to watch The Avengers in the cinema cos it's cool to catch a movie in Genting, geddit geddit? Hahaha lame, I know.

So anyway, we went to check out the movie time first before deciding our next step. The only time left for the movie is 1.15am and we took it because it has been a while since we watched a midnight film and we are on a vacation. When else can we do something like this, right? So we just bought the ticket and proceeded to Ripley's Believe It Or Not.

Nah. Ticket for the movie as proof haha.

The entrance of my one hour entertainment.

We tried to stay as long as we can in the museum but it was still early when we came out so in order to waste more time, we have decided to go to the bar. Another reason is cause I haven't been there before and was curious. The entrance to the bar is through the casino so it feels more privileged, like "You kids can't come in, hah!".

Since I don't drink (cause I don't like the taste of alcohol), I just went there to waste time and see the boyfriend get high, for the ambience where everyone gets high and drunk and of course, for the live band.

I followed the uncles and went all the way in front for this picture. The light turned purple when this was snapped. The band was actually quite good!

The pub was so crowded that there are no where else to sit by the time it gets closer to 12am!

We walked around the almost-empty First World Plaza about 10 minutes before the movie starts and took some random picture of the roof.

After the movie, I went back to the hotel room and took this picture. Love it love it love it! So misty! Oh, we reached our room at about 4am cos we walked very slowly after the movie ends. It was such a long and exciting day!

My mom woke me up at about 9am the next day (I only had 4 hours of sleep but I feel awesome) and I was greeted by this blue sky. So pretty I can't stop snapping pictures and risk my phone falling down from the 12th floor cos I exert my hands out of the window wobbly for these pictures.

No filter. Such amazing sky, right? Like it comes right out of a wallpaper!

Then we went for breakfast with my family at Hainan Express. Having some old-style kaya and butter toast, accompanied by 2 half boiled eggs each with coffee or tea.

Then it comes to an end for the trip and I wanted to visit the Strawberry Farm when we're on our way down but unfortunately, it started raining heavily. As the Strawberry Farm is an outdoor thing, obviously we can't visit.

So depressing lor, although I am always fond of rainy days comparing to sunny sky hahaha.

Greeted by the jam some more when we're on Karak Highway :(

Overall though, it was definitely an awesome impromptu trip! Of course, not everything went as planned and the trip was only to a place 2 hour away from home but it was definitely a memorable one and one I would record down to remember for the rest of my life. Dear boyfriend, more impromptu trip, please!
